Question of the Week
Q: "We are wanting to create a home gym. What do you recommend to help us get started?"
A: Every great home gym starts with two important pieces. The first being for cardiovascular training (Treadmills, Ellipticals & Bikes) and the other for strength training (Free weights & Home Gyms). Combining both cardio and strength can increase motivation. The combination also assists in building lean muscle tissue, which increases metabolism to help achieve faster results.
For those clients not familiar with strength training equipment, universal gyms are a great start as they require little guidance to correctly do exercises and are easy to get on and go. Advanced users may opt for free weights (dumbbells and barbells) or a functional trainer gym, providing them with more exercises and challenges.
The best choice for cardio equipment, is a piece that offers each user a comfortable workout experience. There is a variety of different types of cardio equipment available, one is not better than another. The key thing to remember is that you will get out of your machine what you put into it.
